UMass Falls 80-73 to Duquesne - Recap

Duquesne got 30 points from Tavian Dunn-Martin en route to a 80-73 victory over UMass on Saturday at A.J. Palumbo Center.

Duquesne was a -6.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters.

Duquesne got 17 points from Michael Hughes and another 12 points from Eric Williams Jr.. Tavian Dunn-Martin contributed 6 assists, while Michael Hughes cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.

UMass got a 15-point performance from Carl Pierre, who was supported by 14 points from Rashaan Holloway. Tre Wood had 8 assists in a losing cause for UMass, while Jonathan Laurent grabbed 13 rebounds.

Duquesne was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

UMass had a 46-23 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Duquesne looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Saint Louis. UMass will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Richmond.
